Well not only would be protecting your putter, which could be the most expensive club in your bag….BUT also you would be protecting your other clubs as well. Because the putter is soo short, typically, that metal head banging around on the graphite shafts of the other most expensive clubs in your bag…the Driver and metal woods. This could be game over if your were to get a significant ding in a graphite shaft. If you can’t find the right head cover, go to Ebay…they have ‘em all it seams. But I think the are well worth it ! $250 putter + $300 driver shaft…….
If you want to putter to be in excellent condition, then you should. I dont use one and its fine. Overall it depends on the putter you have. If you have a cheap one then dont. But if you have a scotty cameron, you should
If the putter is a battle scarred relic like mine, No! If it is one of these new fancy jobs which look like boat anchors and have pristine finishes by all means invest in a putter cover.
It all depends on how you take care of your set and bag. If your careful with it prob wont need it. If you think it may get cold (lol) or dinged up then I would get one if I really like my putter. I DO!
its all up to your choice
i personally don’t use one but when i come back from my golf round i just polish my clubs up (with wet-dry) cloth
no….it’s just something you will probably lose
Not really…. i dont think you really need one
if you care about it getting banged up then yes… if not your ok without one
